2025 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions has a lot going on. Cards are a mix of modern and vintage vibes. The product also encompasses multiple Upper Deck brands under one umbrella, including flagship, Exquisite and Black Diamond. Even the people the checklist spotlights come from multiple areas, sports and otherwise.
That same variety carries over to Goodwin’s hobby box contents with a mix of inserts and parallels joining the base cards. Each box has two autographs, memorabilia cards or premium-style inserts.
2025 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions Checklist Overview
The base set has 100 cards and covers a lot of sports. While there are some household names, there are also lots of up-and-coming prospects as well as standouts from areas that don’t often get sports cards.

The base design returns for Goodwin Autographs and Goodwin Horizontal Autographs, both of which are 1:240 packs. There’s also Goodwin Memorabilia, which are 1:60 packs.
Young Guns, a staple of Upper Deck’s flagship line, finds a home in Goodwin Champions highlighting prospects in sports that don’t have their own sets. Landing 1:3 packs, they also take a modest short print approach like they do in hockey where they’re harder to find than normal cards but still very much attainable.
Parallels include Outburst (1:30 packs), acetate Clear Cut (1:240 packs), Deluxe (/250), Exclusives (/100), Red Outburst (/25), High Gloss (/10) and Gold Outburst (1/1).
Black Diamond
Upper Deck has a lot of premium brands. While Black Diamond releases are typically heavy on traditional hits, the set is also known for other low-numbered cards and cards with diamonds in them. All of these are folded into 2025 Goodwin Champions’ insert content.
Things start with standard Black Diamond cards and Rookie Gems, both of which are numbered to 349. These have Red (/100) and Green (/10) parallels as well as autographs for select cards.
Diamond Relics (/99) have between one and four diamonds embedded in them. Think a tiered structure where the best athletes have the most bling. Pure Black versions are all one-of-ones.
Other Black Diamond-themed cards include Band of Color (/20, Rookies /25) that have several different colored diamonds, and Gemography Autographs.
Exquisite Collection
When it comes to super premium lines, none in the Upper Deck portfolio are bigger than Exquisite Collection. While it has been a standalone release many times, it’s one piece of the larger 2025 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions checklist. That said, it’s some of the top content.
Exquisite Collection base cards have just 99 copies or 149 for rookies. For veterans, Gold parallels, some of which have autographs, are numbered to 10. Gold Spectrum Autographs are one-of-a-kind.
Exquisite Collection Rookie Autographs and Rookie Auto Patch cards are numbered to 99. Gold (/10) and Gold Spectrum (1/1) versions are available for these as well.
2003-04 Exquisite Collection Rookie Auto Tribute (/49) and Rookie Materials Tribute (/25) take things back to the brand’s beginnings as far as design goes. It’s similar for 2009-10 Retro Exquisite Collection Rookie Auto Tribute (/49), only showcasing the design from Upper Deck’s final Exquisite NBA release.
Exquisite Signature Kicks combine autographs with sneaker swatches connected to the featured athletes.
Goudey Goodness
The iconic Goudey brand has been connected to Goodwin Champions for well over a decade. Here, this starts with standard Goudey inserts, which are a modest 1:4 packs. Parallels are Red (1,933 copies each), Pink (/33) and Black (1/1). Hits under the banner include Goudey Autographs (1:240 packs), Sport Royalty Autographs (1:8,640 packs), and Sport Royalty Memorabilia (1:2,400 packs).
Bountiful Splashes of Color
Splash of Color returns for another year in 2025 Goodwin Champions. 3-D Lenticular inserts double as Upper Deck Bounty cards. Those that build the set and register it are eligible for an exclusive card that’s not available in packs. Odds for these inserts range from 1:30 packs to 1:1,200 packs.
Splash of Color Autographs (1:180 packs) and Splash of Color Memorabilia (1:240 packs) are also in packs.
More Autographs, Memorabilia Cards and Inserts
The 2025 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions checklist has a lot more going on when it comes to both premium content and more common inserts.
As far as signatures and throwback designs go, there’s 2000 Retro SP Authentic Autographs (/299), 2001 Retro SP Authentic Future Watch Autographs (/299), and 2003-04 Retro SP Authentic Future Watch Autographs, which come with varied print runs.
Many of Goodwin’s memorabilia cards tap into American history. This includes three different types of Museum Collection cards with either Sporting Relics (1:2,400 packs), Civil War Soldiers Letters (1/1) and oversized USS Midway Relics (1/1).
Tapping into their inner Robert Stack are Goodwin Unsolved Relics that focus on D.B. Cooper (/71).
Birth Year Quad Coinage (/50) have four coins embedded in them, all from the year the person was born. The money theme carries over to 1925 United States Currency Relics (1:4,800 packs).
A new batch of one-of-one Goodwin Masterpieces can be found. These are similar to sketch cards only with a fine art twist. Art of the Ages offer trading card interpretations of iconic paintings while Portraits highlight different personalities.
Changing things up a little from Goodwin’s manufactured patches are Animal Kingdom Emblems. These have five tiers of rarity ranging from 1:80 to 1:3,500 packs.
Other chase sets in 2025 Upper Deck Goodwin Champions include The Story of the USS Midway (1:100 packs), World Mythology (1:120 packs) and Goodwin Cut Signatures Legends of Rock and Roll (1/1).
