2024-25 Upper Deck Clear Cut Hockey cards all have two things in common. First, virtually everything’s autographed. Second, cards are done on acetate giving them a see-through appearance and a plastic-like feel.
With just one card per hobby box, breaks are quick. And while there are likely to be plenty of stars and other rarities on the checklist, single-card breaks do have that added level of risk.
2024-25 Upper Deck Clear Cut Hockey Checklist Overview
Clear Cut kicks off with a base set where everything is signed on-card. The design brings back the 2024-25 Upper Deck Hockey flagship release. Here, the cards are broken into three sections: Veterans (1:6 packs), Rookies (1:4 packs) and Greats (1:75 packs).
Parallels borrow from the flagship set as well with Outburst (/25), High Gloss (/10) and Gold Outburst (1/1).
Also getting a makeover from Upper Deck Hockey is Canvas Signatures (1:13 packs). Red Ink versions come numbered to the player’s jersey number while Gold Ink are one-of-ones.
Canvas Rookie Debuts are the only cards in Clear Cut that don’t have autographs. These come in boxes that include a redemption making for a second card. Rookie Debuts Signatures have 25 copies each while there’s just one Gold Ink version for each.
Crystalline Stars Autos make their debut, delivering a bolder design. Base versions are 1:20 packs. Additional parallels come in Red (/35), Blue (/10) and Gold (1/1).
Also new are Upper Deck Vintage Autos (1:16 packs, Greats – 1:120 packs, Rookies – 1:11 packs). Although modern in their construction, these give off throwback vibes.
2024-25 Upper Deck Clear Cut Hockey has several insert autograph sets that go retro with their design. One of the bigger ones is 1997-98 UD Collector’s Choice Starquest Autographs. Others include 1999-00 Upper Deck Ice Gallery Autos, 2000-01 SPx Xcitement Autos, and 2000-01 SP Authentic Power Skaters Autos.
