The first product released under the new licensing agreement between Fanatics and the Premier League will be 2025-26 Topps Premier League Soccer.
Topps, which was an official partner of the Premier League from 1994-2019, had lost licensing rights to Panini but regained an exclusive hold on England’s top soccer league just over a year ago. The Topps flagship set will likely be the first of several 2025-26 products to feature the country’s top talent.
Topps will release the product in waves.
Naturally, the first wave lands in the United Kingdom, with a retail launch set for August 7. An international retail launch will follow on August 21, and hobby boxes will hit the market on September 17.
Special-edition releases include a 24-pack holiday-themed Countdown Calendar on September 2, which includes exclusive festive parallels, and a Golden Boot tin on October 2, which will also have exclusive offerings inside. Topps has also planned various special tins and multi-pack retail offerings.
Every card will have a QR code on the flip side that leads collectors to an interactive collector’s hub.
2025-26 Topps Premier League Soccer Checklist Overview
The 2025-26 Topps Premier League Soccer base set will run deep, with 14 players from all 20 clubs bringing the player checklist to 280 cards. There are some subsets recognizing special segments of players, bringing the complete checklist to 450 cards.
As with any Topps flagship product, collectors will find many parallels – some of which are exclusive to certain boxes or tins. The Premier League’s website indicates parallels will come in at least 15 colors.
In the retail offering, collectors will find Blue (1:2 packs), Yellow (1:4), and Green (1:8) parallels, as well as numbered Sparkle parallels, which range from Aqua /499 to Platinum /1.
In Counter Display Unit retail boxes, which house 28 packs, collectors will find Holo parallels, ranging from Aqua /499 to Red /5.
Hobby parallels will be of the Rainbow variety, ranging from Blue /150 to Foilfractor /1.
Every retail pack guarantees at least three subset cards.
Common subsets (two per pack) include Generation Now, Retro Threads, Pro Partnership, Full Force, and Tekkers, which will all have various levels of colored parallels.
A step up are Beast Mode, Headliners, and Pro Precision, which follow the same structure, but collectors only find one card from one of these sets in every pack.
Inserts Overview
As Topps looks to make a big retail splash with this product in the United Kingdom, inserts naturally play a large role in the 2025-26 Topps Premier League Soccer set. Ranging from easy-to-find offerings to the ultra-rare, the insert offerings give collectors of all experience levels a chance to find something special.
Found once every 10 packs are Chrome Kings, which honor one legend from every club on a chromium stock. Tin-exclusive Gemstone parallels include Emerald, Diamond /25, Black Diamond /10, and Ruby /5.
Another insert likely to be popular among collectors is Gold Lion, an attractively designed set found once every 28 packs. These cards feature an image of a top star from each club set against a golden backdrop and the Premier League’s lion logo.
The most challenging inserts to find are Premier Pulls (1:100) and Diamond Rookie Cards (1:500), a 10-card set of the league’s top young standouts.
Other insert concepts announced include Golden Boot, Hall of Fame, Goal Machine, Full Throttle, Perfect Storm, Heat Vision, Home Advantage, and Pro Partnership.
Autographs Overview
Collectors will find Base Autographs at the rate of 1:168 retail packs. That checklist will have several parallels of Sparkle, Holo, and Rainbow varieties, ranging from Aqua /499 to 1/1s.
Insert sets that receive an Autograph parallel include Beast Mode, Black Edition, and Chrome Kings.
Hobby boxes will guarantee at least one autograph as part of three hits.
