2025 Donruss Football marks the 10th anniversary of the brand’s full-time return to the football card marketplace.
Originally produced five times between 1997 and 2002, the Donruss flagship line disappeared from the football card industry until Panini revived the brand in 2015. Ever since, it has become home to many parallels and eccentric inserts that collectors anticipate every summer as the NFL season approaches.
Collectors will find 18 packs in hobby boxes this year, and among the 180 cards will be one autograph, one memorabilia card, 12 parallels, 18 Rated Rookies, and 42 inserts.
2025 Donruss Football Checklist Overview
The Donruss checklist always runs deep, and 2025 Donruss Football will be no exception.
There are 400 cards in the base set. Included are 300 veterans and legends, and 100 Rated Rookies of the top draftees wearing their NFL uniforms.
Parallels also run deep in Donruss. From colorful Press Proofs and other concepts, collectors will never know what they may uncover in every box.
Inserts, Autographs, and Memorabilia
Creative inserts have been one of Donruss’ fortes over the years, and 2025 Donruss Football will continue the trend.
With multiple inserts in every hobby pack, collectors will be searching for cards from sets like Gridiron Kings, All-Time Gridiron Kings, the Elite Series, and Dominators.
Flashier insert concepts include:
- Bomb Squad, which is back in the flagship Donruss set after a one-year stop in Clearly Donruss
- Gridiron Marvels, which combine action shots of players set to the style of a comic book cover
- Downtown, the classic, illustrated short-printed insert that includes a background of references to a player’s team name or city
- Crunch Time, which combines action shots of players set to the design of a cereal box
Autographed sets in 2025 Donruss Football include Rated Rookie autographs – and a variety of colorful parallels – Gridiron Kings, Dominators, and Bomb Squad.
Panini has not released any specific information about memorabilia cards, but long-running sets in flagship Donruss include Donruss Threads, Jersey Kings, and Rookie Phenom Jerseys.
